Our journey begun in 2017, with three friends and fellow PhDs in Physics sharing a passion for science and crafting, with a curiosity of exploring the world of flavors. We embarked on our quest in the realm of distillation, intrigued and motivated to learn how to make our favourite ‘gin’.
Probably the best distillery in Nørrebro
After years of experimentation & learnings, in January 2021 we have founded Flavors Laboratory, our nano-distillery. We created a space where we can unleash creativity and scientific curiosity.
We are located in the heart of Nørrebro, recently nominated the coolest neighbourhood in the world, which is also where we live. We love KBH N!
The science of distillation
At the heart of our distillery, a custom-made vacuum distillation setup, allowing us to run all distillations in vacuum (ca. 80 mbar) and at room temperature, to preserve flavors and freshness.
The distillery has been turned into a laboratory, with tons of bottles, distilled flavors, strange tools, sensors & blinking lights.
Gin specialists, liqueurs lovers
We are inspired by memories of our travels, the food and the perfumes from different culinary experiences. Our products represent a part of our lives and, fundamentally, ourselves.
We focus on gin. Being a nano-distillery makes us nimble and allows us to play with new flavors and new products, so we can satisfy everyone's tastes & palate. We have three gin recipes in the market and will keep releasing new ones on an ongoing basis, so stay tuned!
We also produce liqueurs. Our Limoncello and Mastiha go beyond the traditional recipes, and are already renowned in Copenhagen.
We constantly experiment with new flavors, developing new recipes and products.
We strive to improve, as we want to mature in our distilling journey.
We want to expand our reach and enlarge the Flavors Laboratory community.
We aim to become well-known in the global space of gin makers for the high quality of our products.
